Health coaching. What is it?
You know how it goes. You get so pumped up and inspired after hearing about a new dietary theory that you buy the book and all the supplements and tell everyone what your'e up to. But just as quickly, it gets too overwhelming to incorporate into your life. Hell, all the conflicting dietary theories alone are enough to make your head hurt and keep you paralyzed. Making a major nutrition or lifestyle change is not always easy to do alone. That's when a health coach like me can step in.
A health coach is a knowledgable advisor who gives ongoing guidance and support as you determine what you desire and then make sustainable changes that help you bring about what you want. As I mentioned on the home page of this site, no one diet works for everyone, so my job as a health coach is to guide you to explore and discover the food and lifestyle choices that fit you like a glove.
I'm not just a coach though. I'm someone who's greatly benefited from being coached. It's priceless to be on both ends of the dynamic and a lot of health coaches don't have this asset. Do you think this website would have ever gotten revamped if I didn't have a coach to back me up and keep me on track? Do you think I would have generated original content for my first tele-class and presented it without the support of a coach? Do you think I would have created, presented and fully enjoyed my first live event without my coach? Nope, nope, hell nope. Most times knowing what you want to do isn't enough to make it happen! A lot of times there are way too many things to keep track of, so you end up doing nothing. Or more commonly, there's resistance that you're not really aware of until you work with someone to uncover and clear it.

About my training
I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
